About Me

My photo
For a long time, I thought it would be great if there was a way to see all of the cool, nerdy things happening in the area while also wishing more adults went to science museums. After complaining didn't manifest such a thing, I finally caved and created Tri-State Nerdery. The goal of Tri-State Nerdery is to share nerdy happenings in the Delaware & Brandywine Valleys, Poconos, and Jersey Shore while also encouraging folks to shop local, live a little greener, and build community.

8691 Playlist

One of the things I enjoyed most about working from home was listening to Pierre Robert on 93.3 WMMR during the work day. Pierre, a Philadelphia staple and radio legend, incorporated several regular features into his daily program that ran from somewhere between 10 and 11 AM through 3PM (many of which are continued by Matt kord, who took up the mantle of the show after Pierre's untimely passing last year). One of those features is the work force block, in which he played four songs by one artist in a row during the lunch hour. A few years ago, I happened to be WFH as he played a block of Living Colour that reignited my love for that band and sent me sailing on a wave of nostalgia. That block inspired this playlist, comprised of some of the songs I remember listening to as a whippersnapper between the years of 1986 and 1991. Check out the 8691 playlist on Tidal.
