About Me

My photo
For a long time, I thought it would be great if there was a way to see all of the cool, nerdy things happening in the area while also wishing more adults went to science museums. After complaining didn't manifest such a thing, I finally caved and created Tri-State Nerdery. The goal of Tri-State Nerdery is to share nerdy happenings in the Delaware & Brandywine Valleys, Poconos, and Jersey Shore while also encouraging folks to shop local, live a little greener, and build community.

The Visitors by Ragnar Kjartansson

I went to the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston because it happened to be free on the day I was in town. I expected to spend an hour or two perusing the galleries before moving on to my next stop. Instead, I found myself floored by this multimedia installation by Ragnar Kjartansson. Literally floored, as I ended up sitting on the floor of the exhibit for nearly an hour. I nearly saw it for a second time at the Broad, but unfortunately ran out of time. Luckily, I happened to stumble upon it once more at the Phoenix Museum of Art when I was in town for a conference.
